Virgin Blue raises the glamor back into air travel

Virgin Blue hope put back into the glamor of air travel with the opening new uniforms flight attendant designer, the new business class and first class economy. " 

Modeled by Elle Macpherson and a team of 60 Maiden crew and pilots, the forms were presented on a makeshift runway in the Pitt Street Mall in Sydney, in true Virgin style.

Juli Grbac Project Runway fame has developed a new form of "style, sophistication and old world glamor" in mind.

"I drew inspiration from the glamorous flight in 1960, and gave it a contemporary edge," she says.

Ms Grbac said she talked to flight attendants on a transit flight, and asked them about what they dislike in their old form.

Among their complaints, the sleeves were too long, tight and restrictive, the hem is too drab, and that they simply were not enough style.

"They just wanted to look good on paper," Ms Grbac said.

So far, response from staff was positive, according to the flight attendant Alicia Cicero.

"Juli has brought a kind of Glamour for air travel, elegance and fun back into shape," she revealed.

New designs more striking in color and design than in the previous khakis, have shorter sleeves and come to the knee and are made of super stretch and ultra-breathable fabric.

"I had to work with red, silver and purple of the Virgin, so I decided to make the red a little richer, and add purple, like a splash of color in silk scarves," Ms Grbac said.

Masculine form, which includes the iconic brand in the purple tie, had some personal contribution of Mr. Borgetti, who "wears a lot of designer brands and has an eye for style."

"The guys said they really feel the pilots right now," Ms Grbac says

, as well as a new form, Mr Borghetti promised a new product in business class and the new airport facilities in attempt to attract more business travelers.

Airline group marked more changes for the worse in the year to 31 December 2011, including a new marketing campaign, a new product through the park and update the program to speed frequent fliers.

Mr Borghetti confirmed the first routes for wide-body aircraft Virgin Blue's Airbus A330 will be between Sydney and Perth, with services to begin in May.

"The aircraft will be equipped with new cabin and business class" Superior Economy Class " airline Virgin Blue said.

Virgin opens gym in Coolangatta Airport until June 30 this year and two more rooms will be added to the end of the year.
